IMPROVISED ROCK SOLO
This is a one take improvisation - a cool backing track and literally just go for it! None of this solo is rehearsed or prepared, its straight out of my head.
BIO
Chris started playing guitar at age 11, and it became as life long passion. Originally planning to become a psychology practitioner, he instead chose to pursue a path in the music industry after leaving university.
Aside from a busy guitar teaching schedule, Chris performs regularly as a touring session guitarist.
He played and toured with Voodoo Six for several years, opening for Iron Maiden on the 2013 25th anniversary tour of the Seventh Son album. This would be a highlight of his tenure with Voodoo Six, performing in stadiums, arenas and major festivals.
Other supports include opening for Extreme on their 2008 european tour, opening for UFO on two UK and european tours, meeting and opening twice on tours for Mike Portnoy acts Adrenalin Mob and Winery Dogs. Too many other tours to list, including headline tours and festival appearances.
Currently Chris is a member of the Gutterdammerung touring act. This is a new rock/cinema hybrid show, combining a sinister and dark fairytale film populated by a who's who of rockstars and accompanied by a live band. Stars involved in the project include Henry Rollins, Iggy Pop, Josh Homme, Jesse Hughes, Tom Araya, Slash and many more. The live band consists of Iggy Pops own band - Kevin Armstrong, Mat Hector and Ben Ellis, with vocalist Jesse Smith and Chris bolstering the rock sound.
Joining this project in 2015, and touring major festivals and concert halls in 2016 and ongoing, Chris has performed live with Henry Rollins, the Eagles of Death Metal, Grace Jones and Alain Johannes.
Chris also regularly performs in his Pantera tribute act 101%PANTERA, which first earned him his reputation as a fierce rock and metal player. He uses Dean Guitars, Boss and TC Electronics FX and Blackstar Amps.
His favourite guitarists are Yngwie Malmsteen, John Petrucci, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Marty Friedman, Adrian Smith and Dimebag Darrell.
